In the case of losing a tooth the application of an implant is the best solution.
To supplement the created gap, it is not necessary to grind the neighbouring teeth, which is a great advantage as compared to the application of bridges. In such a case at least two neighbouring, often healthy teeth have to be polished.
The new tooth placed on the implant usually cannot be distinguished from a natural one.
